MISSION: Ensuring that adapa operates within the legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to its industry. This role is essential in safeguarding the organization's reputation and maintaining trust with stakeholders by ensuring transparency and adherence to regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the organization remains compliant.
Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML), data protection (e.g., GDPR), and other applicable regulations.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting.
2. Policy Development and Implementation:
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
Ensure employees understand and adhere to compliance requirements through effective training and communication.
3. Risk Management:
Identify and assess compliance risks across the organization.
Implement measures to mitigate risks and ensure accountability.
4. Audits and Investigations:
Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
5. Training and Awareness:
Provide training to employees on compliance policies, ethical standards, and regulatory updates.
Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
6. Reporting:
Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors.
Highlight potential risks and recommend strategies for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the industry.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address compliance issues.
* Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
* Certification in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional [CCEP] or similar) is often preferred.
THE “IDEAL” CANDIDATE:
* Degree in law or business law or comparable training.
* First professional experience in connection with compliance, KYC or AML.
* IT affinity, especially MS Excel skills.
* Very good knowledge of German and English.
