The Corporate Information Management Unit has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Corporate Information Officer to join us in this full-time 12-month temporary position. This hybrid role offers flexibility, allowing you to work both from home and in the office.
In this role, you'll:
* Manage the day-to-day operational services of the Corporate Information team.
* Oversee the Quarterly Archival Program (QAP), ensuring records are transferred to secondary storage or the Public Records Office Victoria (PROV) as required.
* Provide expert advice and support on Records and Information Management practices across the Council.
* Develop and deliver Archival and Records Management training for Council staff.
* Compile and report on key statistics reflecting the Council’s recordkeeping activities.
Salary: $79,222 - $90,806 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation, and a monthly accrued day off.
What you'll need to thrive:
* Demonstrated experience in records management and information services, with a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and best practices.
* Expertise in records management processes, policies, and practices, ensuring compliance with organisational requirements and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Strong supervisory skills, enabling you to lead and support a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Excellent communication skills, allowing you to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear advice and guidance on records management matters.
* Outstanding time management abilities, ensuring you can prioritise tasks, manage workloads, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
* Proven experience in archiving, with the capacity to interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulations, ensuring records are managed in accordance with legal obligations and organisational needs.
