Role Overview:
As the Store Manager, you’ll take the reins of our store, managing day-to-day operations, leading a dedicated team, and ensuring our customers have an unforgettable experience. You’ll also get to showcase your creativity by organising events and tastings, showcasing our premium offerings.
This role is perfect for someone who is sales-driven, customer-focused, and passionate about premium beverages. While relevant experience is advantageous, we place the highest value on the right attitude and commitment to exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Management: Oversee operations, including sales, stock management, invoicing, and financial administration.
2. Customer Service: Deliver an exceptional experience for all customers, build strong relationships, and foster loyalty.
3. Staff Supervision: Lead, motivate, and organize the team. Create and manage monthly rosters to ensure smooth operations.
4. Inventory Control: Handle stock ordering, deliveries, and organization. Conduct regular counts and ensure inventory is accessible and well-managed.
5. Merchandising & Presentation: Maintain visually appealing displays and ensure the store is always well-stocked and inviting.
6. Sales & Targets: Drive sales and profitability through effective pricing, upselling, and promotions.
7. Event Management: Create and run engaging in-store events, tastings, and promotions that excite customers and drive foot traffic.
8. Administrative Duties: Manage invoicing, data entry, cash handling, and record-keeping for financial and inventory management.
9. Social Media & Marketing: Update and manage the store’s social media profiles, creating content to promote products and events.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in hospitality or liquor retail (preferred).
2. Proven track record in delivering outstanding customer service.
3. Leadership skills to inspire, manage, and grow a team.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic environment.
6. Financial acumen, including experience with cash handling and invoicing.
7. Availability to work a flexible 7-day roster, including evenings and weekends.
8. Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
9. Tech-savvy with Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer proficiency.
10. Deep knowledge and passion for premium wine, beer, and spirits.
11. Experience planning and executing successful events.
12. Social media expertise to drive engagement and business growth.
