The International Economics Section (Economic Analysis and Research Department) is a team of highly qualified experts responsible for analyzing international macroeconomic developments relevant to the central bank.
The section offers one internship to interested students for a duration of 3 to 6 months from June 1st 2025 at the earliest (start date flexible, part-time or full-time).
Internship in International Macroeconomics
Part-time or full-time, fixed-term contract for 3 to 6 months.

Your tasks:
* Maintaining and contributing to the further development of the section’s (De)Globalization Monitor database and corresponding dashboards.
* Contributing to analyses of global and bilateral capital flows, trade, and migration.
* Supporting the team in its daily operations.
Your Background:
* Profound knowledge of the programming language R, especially for managing, processing, and visualizing data (charts and highcharts, in particular; maps; etc.) and skilled in building dashboards (Shiny).
* Ongoing bachelor’s degree is required; ongoing master’s or post-graduate degree would be an asset.
* Active interest in international economic issues related to capital flows, trade, or migration in the context of (de)globalization.
* Basic knowledge of German would be an asset.
