Location: Adelaide or Brisbane
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Associate Director of Information Technology will oversee system and account administration, hardware management, cloud solutions, and fostering innovation through the development and deployment of tools like Dynamics 365, Power Apps, and Power Automate. The role also ensures the optimisation and continuous improvement of IT processes to align with DRA’s mission of assisting Australians in need.
The Associate Director of Information Technology’s key accountabilities include:
* Lead by example in adhering to DRA’s values of Courage, Respect, Service and Tenacity and support a positive, values-based culture across the organisation.
* Champion a culture of transparency, integrity and accountability within DRA, embedding organisational values into decision-making processes at all levels.
* Work collegiately with other leaders to pursue DRA’s vision and realise its overarching strategic goals.
* Lead IT support services to meet the operational requirements of staff and volunteers, including system administration, account management, and hardware provision and maintenance.
* Coordinate DRA’s fleet of field IT equipment for dispatch, maintenance and configuration.
* Manage DRA’s cloud-based infrastructure, with a focus on M365 administration, Azure, Intune, and Entra.
* Collaborate with external vendors, such as third-party IT support agencies and partners, to ensure seamless service delivery and robust security practices.
* Oversee the development and enhancement of Dynamics 365, Power Apps, and Power Automate solutions to streamline processes and introduce new organisational capabilities.
* Support grassroots innovation by empowering staff and volunteers to propose and implement technology-driven improvements.
* Lead and mentor a team comprising IT support-focused staff and a Power Apps developer, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented culture.
* Ensure compliance with ASD Essential 8 maturity level 2 and maintain familiarity with tools such as CrowdStrike to uphold cybersecurity standards.
* Lead and manage the full lifespan of IT related innovation and continual improvement projects.
* In consultation with the Director of Information Technology evaluate and implement new technologies to drive efficiency and competitiveness.
* Conduct IT risk assessments and report on outcomes and recommended mitigation strategies to the Director of Information Technology.
* Continually improve and manage organisational reporting that uses the data warehouse as a source.
In consultation with the Director of Information Technology, establish and drive clear department level goals and performance metrics that align with, enable, and support the 2030 DRA strategic plan deliverable.

Qualifications and Experience
* Extensive experience in IT support, system administration, and cloud-based technologies.
* Demonstrated experience in leading IT teams and delivering innovative IT solutions.
* Certifications in M365, Azure, and ITIL (preferred but not mandatory).
* Strong IT project management skills, with experience in a recognised project management methodology (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK).
