About this opportunity
As Process Engineer, you will execute and improve Cubicure’s production activities in the field of photopolymer materials. You will be responsible for the formulation and packaging of chemical products in a production environment and support new product implementation, scale-up, and analysis activities. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Executing production plans according to management schedules and customer requirements.
2. Executing the production, packaging, and storage of existing photopolymer portfolio materials and customized formulations according to work instructions.
3. Ensuring a professional incoming goods inspection and storage plan for chemical raw materials.
4. Solving quality and production problems based on data analysis.
5. Continuously improving process quality and enabling quality built-in process introduction for the production of new products.
6. Supporting optimization of production processes and machines.
7. Planning and conducting qualifications, validation, and revalidation of production processes and materials in accordance with applicable standards.
8. Supporting a professional database and versioning system for all material mixtures and production routines.
9. Maintaining a safe and up-to-date production environment for chemical goods.
10. Supporting the creation and iteration of production protocols and the overall production data management concept.
11. Identifying and implementing effective courses of action.
12. Establishing a positive and progressive working culture on the factory level.
13. Prioritizing and meeting deadlines according to production timetables.
14. Preparing validation plans and reporting deviations and discrepancies.
15. Collaborating with various internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and technical collaborators to deliver technical solutions.
16. Setting up and handling lab and testing equipment, materials, electricity, machines, and chemicals according to dedicated safety protocols.
In this role, you’ll need:
1. 3+ years of experience in chemistry, chemical engineering, or in a chemical or biochemical production environment.
2. A degree or equivalent in (bio-)chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
3. Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in chemical production.
4. Experience in and ability to design, optimize, and troubleshoot multistep material production campaigns.
5. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
Desired: Self-confident, passionate, a professional decision maker, and team player with +3 years of experience in the chemical industry. Ability to work on projects that vary from routine to very complex. Strong quality awareness and reliability. Familiarity with agile development and DevOps practices. Ability to work independently and communicate findings effectively (ideally in both German and English).
Salary Information:
For the position, the collective agreement for plastic processors (Kunststoffverarbeiter) applies. The minimum basic salary with 3 years of experience is 2.286,66 euros gross per month for the job category III, with a clear willingness to overpay.
