For more information, visit BOAFIT.COMOverview of RoleReporting to the Regional PPID Director, the Regional Design Manager will directly lead the Partner Product Design teams for the assigned region (including 3D Prototypers and 2D Footwear Designers), and in close partnership with the PPID Regional Director, will support the creation and execution of annual operating plans to support commercial initiatives and organizational strategy. This role will also guide the team in driving performance configurations, innovative construction methods, and superior fit in samples, helping us to make the best gear even better. As the leader of the team, this role will drive the development of staff through performance management and individual development plans, striving to create a cohesive regional team with global connectivity that has a culture of continuous learning.Core ResponsibilitiesReflect and role model BOA’s vision, values and Leadership Model and demonstrate passion for our mission across the Partner Product Design team and rest of the organization.Lead, coach and develop the Regional Design Team in all aspects of building and evolving performance fit configurations.Work with your direct reports to set and review performance/development goals, discuss feedback regularly throughout the year, and formally summarize during performance reviews.Manage our 2D/3D approach to partner product design for each industry and partner, using data and insights to ensure the Design Team is aligned with strategy and capacity/operating plans.Help develop the annual plans for Design resource allocation in all our product segments, and work with the PPID Director on budget planning for your team and their required equipment.Lead cross-functional concept development projects as outlined in the PPID strategic plan.Work with the Regional PPID Director, Performance Fit Lab (PFL) Coordinator, and PFL team to support PFL builds, timelines and performance configuration requirements.Support the Global PPID team in achieving product deadlines by managing local resources and when needed, requesting support from other regions to handle request surges.Manage and/or delegate responsibility of prototyping sample room equipment and resources, including BOA parts, materials, tools and supplies, sewing machines and any other resource needs.Support Customer Service with product repairs when needed.Required Qualifications5+ years of work experience.Related University degree.Proven sewing, making or design skills that can be applied to 2D or 3D prototype creation.Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading a team.Experience managing and analyzing data.Experience maintaining systems and equipment so that you can keep our Prototyping machines running smoothly.Desire to use your organized project management approach to maintain our fast pace and manage multiple deadlines.Ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse groups of people across the globe.Desired QualificationsFootwear development experience.Project management experience.We OfferChallenging tasks in a successful and innovative company based in the beautiful lake area of Salzkammergut.A welcoming working environment in a committed and international team of employees.Learning and development opportunities.Flexible working hours.Amazing company activities and events.Competitive compensation package.Legal StatementFor legal reasons, we are obliged to point out the minimum salary for this position according to the collective agreement, which is from 2367.- EUR gross per month.
