Job Purpose:
The Floor Manager assists in the leadership and coordination of a team of food and beverage service professionals in the execution of the end-to-end process of food & beverage operations to Optus Stadium’s corporate and member areas.
Your focus will be:
1. Oversee corporate conferences, events, exhibitions, trade shows, social events, and other unique functions
2. Coordinate the set-up of function rooms, bars, and restaurants
3. Submit the beverage, dry goods, and linen requisitions and effectively manage stock to ensure minimal wastage
4. Assist in the preparation of major event day paperwork, signage requirements, ensuring licensing is up to date, menu board creation
5. Coordinate and conduct briefings with operational staff
6. Actively assist, train, develop, and coach casual employees
7. Undertake an event day operational role on major events including AFL, cricket, concerts and more
8. Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and observe the liquor license laws & regulations
To be successful, you will have:
1. A passion for the hospitality industry
2. Capacity to work in a team environment while leading from the front
3. Flexible to work rostered shifts including, days, nights and weekends
4. Administration skills and ability to work under pressure
5. Exceptional customer service and presentation skills
6. Minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience in a similar catering and/or food and beverage service delivery position
7. Sound Food & Beverage and Food Safety knowledge (HACCP)
8. Approved Managers Certification (desirable)

While standard hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm, the nature of the event industry means that you will be required to work outside these hours particularly around events being staged at Optus Stadium and Stadium Park.
You will require full working rights in Australia in order to be successful in this role.
