We are looking for good people for our communications team, and this is where you come into the picture. Together with other volunteers, we need you in our communications team, where the task is to convey all the good stories that shape our department every day. Both the uplifting stories, such as when we distribute Christmas aid and help needy families, the difficult stories about people in need and certainly also the funny and crazy stories from our fantastic community as Red Cross volunteers. The team is completely new, so you will have the opportunity to help start it all from scratch.
We can promise you won't be bored, because there's always something fun, crazy, exciting or absolutely amazing happening every day at the Red Cross. Will you help us tell the rest of the population about it?
Most Danes know the Red Cross for the relief work we do abroad – and perhaps for our first aid activities and shops in Denmark. But fewer people know about the full scope of the Red Cross' relief work in Denmark, the opportunity to receive support from the Red Cross and to be part of the wide range of social tasks that the Red Cross undertakes, and that the Red Cross is always just around the corner.
We need to increase awareness of our broad, national efforts for vulnerable Danes so that we can help even more Danes and recruit even more people who can help. And we need you to do that!
We Would Really Like You To
* have the desire and courage to work with communication in the Red Cross Gladsaxe
* want to work with social media, which will be your primary task
* be passionate about helping vulnerable Danes and others who need support
* would like to volunteer a few hours a week
* value community and team spirit
You do not need to be educated in communications or journalism to be part of the communications team, but you should have a desire and interest in social media, press work and similar communications work. The Red Cross' national office will help you prepare for the task to the extent you need.
This Is What You Get Out Of It
* You help the Red Cross in its work of helping people all over the world.
* You will become part of the department's communications team and gain experience with communication in a broad sense.
* You will have the opportunity to expand your communication and presentation skills.
* You expand your network and meet other volunteers and permanent Red Cross employees.
* You will gain insight into and lots of hands-on experience from the world's largest humanitarian aid organization.
We cannot offer you a salary - in return, we offer good experiences, a professional community and a strong feedback culture so that you can develop as a communicator.
The Red Cross works to help the world's most vulnerable people – both abroad and in Denmark. We are always present and can step in where help is needed. This is the Red Cross's core vision. In Denmark, the Red Cross has 204 branches throughout the country and 34,000 volunteers who work for Denmark's vulnerable people. That is why there is always a Red Cross volunteer close to every Dane, and help is always just around the corner.
If you need to know more, you are very welcome to contact us.
We look forward to meeting you.
