GENERAL DESCRIPTION
OMICRON is a leading manufacturer of primary and secondary test equipment for electric power systems. The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as the point of contact for operational and strategic HR matters in the Latin America (LA) Region. This role also serves as a strategic partner providing HR expertise and support to business leaders and the rest of the workforce. The HRBP will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business goals, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations. The job location is in Sorocaba, Brazil office or Mexico City, Mexico office. The position will be reporting to the LA Regional Manager and functionally collaborate closely with our Corporate HR Team in Austria. You are an important part of an international team of 15 HR Business Partners.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to understand and support their goals and challenges, developing HR strategies to support business objectives.Work closely with the Regional Manager on workforce strategies and development efforts in the LA Region.Maintain a close link with the Corporate HR team in Austria to align processes, identify resources, and provide training needs.
2. Employee Relations: Provide HR guidance to managers, facilitating open communication lines.Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive workplace culture. Maintain professional confidentiality at all times.
3. Talent Management: Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including maintaining internal systems, posting job openings, candidate follow-up, advertising, and interviewing.Responsible for onboarding processes, including data management, HR database maintenance, onboarding follow-up, and partnering with Information Systems to establish internal accounts.Guide performance management processes, maintain appraisal software data, and support career development initiatives.
4. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations and implement HR policies and procedures.
5. Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.Partner with the Corporate Office on international training and development opportunities.
6. Compensation and Benefits: Maintain compensation data and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with market standards.Be involved with the Annual Performance Review process; to also include maintaining the LA Region’s Competencies, assist the Managers/Supervisors (“Coaches”) coordinate the execution of yearly performance, merit increases and bonus payouts reviews for their direct reports.Along with the “Coaches” coordinate the definition and setting of the annual personal goals for each of their team members. Partner with the Corporate Office to obtain reliable international benchmark data.Collaborate with external payroll and benefits vendors.
7. HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyze HR data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to business leaders.Maintain monthly workforce data.Contribute to LA Quarterly Marketing Reports related to HR matters, including announcements of new hires, departures, and promotions.
8. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
9. Strong knowledge of local labor laws and regulations in Latin America, particularly in Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
18. Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in Brazil or Mexico with at least 2 years in a strategic HR role.
19. Experience in a multinational company.
20. At least intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
21. Experience with HR software is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
22. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. or equivalent work experience
23. National HR certification is also preferred.
