Join our team as Investment Director (m/f/d) in Vienna
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Investment Director to join our growing Real Estate Private Equity team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing, structuring, and executing real estate investment transactions, while leading and developing a high-performing team. This is a senior position that requires strong strategic thinking, deal execution expertise, and exceptional interpersonal skills to drive the success of our real estate portfolio. Investment Director will be reporting to Head of Investments.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Transaction Sourcing & Origination
1. Source on and off-market a robust pipeline of real estate investment opportunities.
2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify attractive sectors, trends, and geographies aligned with the firm’s investment strategy.
3. Represent the firm at industry events, networking opportunities, and conferences to enhance market presence.
4. Oversee and manage the full deal cycle, including initial screening, due diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, structuring, and closing.
5. Lead investment committee presentations and provide detailed analysis and recommendations.
6. Prepare and/or oversee preparation of the detailed financial models and presentations to the investors and investment committee.
7. Collaborate with legal, tax, and financial advisors to address transaction complexities.
8. Ensure seamless transition of closed deals into asset management to ensure operational success post-acquisition.
9. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of investment professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
10. Provide guidance on deal structuring, financial analysis, and negotiation strategies.
11. Drive the team’s professional development through regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
12. Monitor the performance of the firm’s real estate portfolio and ensure alignment with return objectives and risk parameters.
13. Collaborate with asset management to optimize value creation and support exit strategies.
14. Contribute to shaping and refining the firm’s real estate investment strategy in line with broader organizational objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
2. 8+ years of experience in real estate private equity, investment banking, or related fields, with a proven track record of sourcing and executing transactions.
3. Strong understanding of the real estate market, asset classes, and investment structures.
4. Exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills.
5. Language skills: English fluent, German highly advantageous.
6. Strong negotiation, structuring, and closing capabilities.
7. Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.
9. Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a focus on execution.
10. High level of integrity, professionalism, and work ethic.
11. Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
