We are seeking an experienced professional to manage resource forecasting and allocation within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Develop & Maintain Resource Forecasting Algorithms:
o Create and manage resource forecast algorithms that align with project plans, ensuring accurate predictions for resource needs.
* Collect Non-Plannable Demand:
o Gather non-plannable resource demands such as absences, management, admin tasks, project support, business support, and capabilities from various functions.
* Define Functional Capacity:
o Collaborate with functional teams and finance to define the functional capacity, including both permanent headcount and contingent workers.
* Consolidate Resource Data:
o Ensure the function has a single, comprehensive source of resource management data, covering demand, capacity, actuals, and portfolio size/shape.
* Serve as the SPOC for Resource Management:
o Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Project Managers and functional partners, answering all queries related to resource management data.
* Resource Planning & Allocation:
o Oversee the planning and allocation of resources across multiple projects, ensuring that project teams are adequately staffed.
* Drive Leadership Team Resource Discussions:
o Facilitate discussions within the leadership team regarding resource needs, ensuring alignment on project requirements and resource availability.
* Assist in Trade-off Decisions:
o Provide insights and data to the leadership team to assist with trade-off decisions when resource constraints or conflicts arise.
* Track and report on resource utilization, ensuring efficient use of available capacity across all functions.
* Support Project Managers with Resource Data:
o Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure they have access to up-to-date and accurate resource management data for their projects.
* Forecast Resource Demand for Future Projects:
o Work with project teams to forecast resource requirements for upcoming projects, factoring in potential constraints or challenges.
* Improve Resource Management Processes:
o Continuously evaluate and improve resource management processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in managing human resources across projects.
Requirements
* Experience in Planning, Budgeting, and Resource Forecasting:
o Proven experience in planning, budgeting, and accurately forecasting resource needs in alignment with project and organizational goals.
* Experience in Research, Product Development, or Manufacturing:
o Background in working within research, product development, or manufacturing environments, understanding the specific challenges and resource requirements of these sectors.
* Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical CMC Development Process:
o Familiarity with the Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) development process is highly desirable.
* Problem-Solving Abilities:
o Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing knowledge, information, and networks in a flexible manner to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
* Stakeholder Management & Matrix Leadership:
o Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and lead in a matrix environment, building effective communication networks and fostering collaboration across departments.
* Independent Work Ethic:
o Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and develop credibility within and outside the organization.
* Exceptional Communication Skills:
o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, updates, and solutions to various stakeholders.
* Proven Negotiation Skills:
o Strong negotiation skills to facilitate agreements, manage resource allocation, and resolve conflicts in a way that supports project goals and organizational needs.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Ability to establish and nurture smooth working relationships across diverse functions, ensuring collaboration between project teams, finance, and leadership.
* Adaptability & Flexibility:
o Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments, adapting to changing project priorities, and pivoting when necessary to meet business needs.
* Time Management & Organizational Skills:
o Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and keep resources aligned with project requirements.
* Analytical Thinking:
o Skilled in analyzing complex data, identifying patterns and trends, and using insights to inform decisions related to resource allocation and forecasting.
