Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nurse Lead to provide high-quality clinical care and operational support for NDIS participants and older Australians. This key role will contribute to VIVA's Clinical Governance Committee, support internal audits, and assist with regulatory compliance. You will also have the opportunity to work within a collaborative Self-Managed Nursing Team framework, supervising and mentoring enrolled nurses while promoting VIVA’s values and culture.
Vehicle Allowance
Position also includes a vehicle allowance of $250 per fortnight. (6,500 p/a)
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide direct clinical services to NDIS participants and older Australians, ensuring high standards of care.
2. Collaborate with the NDIS Lead, Aged Care Lead and Operational Lead to support and expand the Self-Managed Nursing Team framework.
3. Mentor and assist in the professional development of nursing staff, fostering a cooperative and self-managed team culture.
4. Contribute to VIVA's Clinical Governance Committee and maintain regulatory compliance.
5. Support the preparation and participation in aged care and NDIS audits ensuring readiness for regulatory reviews.
6. Assist in the continuous improvement of nursing practices and documentation.
7. Participate in training, competency assessments, and induction processes for new nursing staff.
8. Assist in a Delegation of Care Model to support workers supporting our NDIS participants.
9. Develop, implement and train support workers on High Intensity Health Support Plans for NDIS Participants.
10. Contribute to a cooperative multidisciplinary team that values collaboration over hierarchy.
About You
Qualifications: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Experience: Proven experience in community NDIS, aged care service delivery, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance.
Skills: Strong knowledge of NDIS and aged care regulations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and support clinical governance activities, audits, and compliance.
Personal Attributes: Demonstrated ability to work within a self-managed team, mentor others, and uphold VIVA’s values of integrity, self-management, excellence, impact, and community.
