It’s the perfect time to join the team: welcome to Australia’s best creative education community.The role:The Program Leader is required to lead the Diploma and Bachelor of Event Management courses at Collarts. The students of your courses learn the skills required to organise, manage and arts, cultural and community events. The program aims to foster creativity, build essential professional capabilities, and prepare students for a full spectrum of event management from initial concept through to successful execution.The Program Leader, reporting to the Campus Academic Lead, provides academic leadership including management of staff and student pastoral care. The Program Leader is required to develop and maintain curriculum and assessment, ensure industry currency, maintain and build industry relationships/partnerships and comply with internal and external policy and procedure.This position is based at the Wellington St campus in Collingwood with a requirement to be present and visible at the other campuses on a regular basis. This role is predominately a campus-based role, with possible WFH opportunities.Key Outcomes:Efficient and effective course leadership duties (planning, monitoring, staffing, online development, continuous improvement)Actively engage in scholarly work and/or research outputMaintain, and contribute to, high quality teachingActively strive for positive feedback through staff and student surveysStrive for and achieve low attrition rates (staff and students)Efficient and timely completion of general administrative tasksWe are looking for someone who has:Teaching experience in Event Management and a great network of industry contactsExpert knowledge in Event Management at a higher education level, including record of scholarship within the discipline and of teachingSuperior interpersonal and communication skillsPossess demonstrable experience in online teaching and learningShowcase outstanding leadership of skill, expertise, and success in a creative field, substantiated through positive reputation, public profile and/or industry reviewHold an AQF qualification at least one level higher than the highest level of the program (i.e. AQF8 minimum for Bachelor courses)High level interpersonal and written communication skillsAnalysis and problem solving skillsActive and engaging teacher and educatorAbility to multi-task and maintain composure while juggling competing demandsSound level of numeracy and literacy and ability to perform moderate administrative tasks aligned the role requirementsAbility to build personnel capability and train and mentor staffAbility to work collaboratively and effectively with academic and professional teams to ensure efficiencyPassion for enhancing the student experience and supporting student successIt's a bonus if you have:Publication record (may include artistic works)Relevant experience in the relevant field and related industriesExperience using Salesforce (student records system)A network of contemporary industry contactsHold at least a Masters degree qualification in a related fieldAdvertising closes: 5pm AEST Tuesday 29 April 2025As shortlisting will commence immediately, we reserve the right to close this recruitment earlier than the stated closing date.
