The Deutsche Bahn International Operations, headquartered in Berlin, specializes in acquiring, mobilizing, and managing rail operations and maintenance projects outside of Europe. We are currently looking for an Intern to support our passionate and performance-driven team. You will gain valuable insights in building up railway companies from scratch, steering quality & performance, and transferring industry best practices to our customers and businesses. You'll immerse yourself in a company culture that uniquely blends the ethos of a large corporate entity with the agility of a startup environment.
Join us as a Working Student (w/m/d) at our Berlin offices for preferably 12 months or longer, starting as soon as possible.
Your tasks:
1. Take part in developing and implementing concepts for the bid, mobilization and governance of railway companies outside Europe.
2. Plan, moderate, and conduct workshops, meetings, and events to promote team collaboration and goal achievement by using traditional and agile methods.
3. Contribute to the development of industry best practices and resources that facilitate knowledge transfer across international projects.
4. Design and maintain management dashboards and presentations, utilizing creative skills to provide user-friendly and visually engaging content.
5. Facilitate follow-up actions from key meetings, ensuring smooth communication and timely execution between internal and external stakeholders.
6. Manage project documentation, ensuring materials are well-organized and easily accessible.
7. Introduce innovative tools and ways of working to optimize daily tasks, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
8. Maintain closer relationships with all members of the cross-functional team and ensure efficient communication and coordination within the project team.
Your profile:
1. You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in economics/business studies.
2. You are interested in the mobility and transportation industry.
3. You are proactive and work independently.
4. You possess strong analytical and conceptual skills, along with prior experience in project management.
5. Ideally, you have experience in project management, documentation, and content creation, particularly in digital environments.
6. You have strong interpersonal and intercultural competence and can work as part of a team.
7. You are proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); familiarity with project management tools and comfortable learning new tools.
8. You have a high level of language proficiency (verbal & written) in English and basic proficiency in German; additional languages are an advantage.
