The Impact You'll Make We are seeking a strategic andtechnically skilled Director of Engineering to lead our engineeringteam and drive the development of cutting-edge semiconductorequipment solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for thedirection, management, and execution of all engineering projects,ensuring alignment with our company's vision and the rapidlyevolving needs of the semiconductor industry. Position is locatedin our Salzburg, Austria and specializes in the following: FlatPanel Electroplating Systems: These systems are designed to depositthin layers of metal onto flat panel substrates, ensuringuniformity and precision. You will work on enhancing theefficiency, accuracy, and scalability of these systems to meet theevolving demands of the semiconductor industry. Substrate sizes canrange from 300x300mm up to Gen 5.1 (1100 x 1300mm). PR Strip andCleaning Technologies: In addition to electroplating and cleaning,you will also work on photoresist (PR) strip and state-of-the-artcleaning technologies that ensure the removal of contaminants fromflat panel surfaces. What You'll Do - Leadership & Strategy:Develop and implement the engineering roadmap in alignment with thecompany's long-term goals. Provide technical direction andengineering leadership across multiple disciplines, includingmechanical, electrical, and software engineering. - ProjectManagement: Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution ofprojects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Collaborate withcross-functional teams (R&D, operations, quality, and productmanagement) to support project milestones and meet customerrequirements. - Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire ahigh-performing engineering team. Drive recruitment, professionaldevelopment, and career progression of team members to foster aculture of technical excellence and innovation. - Innovation &Technology Development: Stay abreast of industry trends andemerging technologies to continuously advance the capabilities ofour equipment. Champion R&D initiatives to maintain ourcompetitive edge. - Customer Engagement: Work closely with sales,service, and product management teams to understand and respond tocustomer needs, integrating feedback into the design anddevelopment process. Build strong relationships with key customersto foster long-term partnerships. - Quality Assurance & RiskManagement: Develop and enforce rigorous testing and validationprotocols to ensure reliability, quality, and compliance withindustry standards. Manage technical risks and create contingencyplans to mitigate potential challenges. Who We're Looking For -Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, orrelated field); Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred. - 10+ years ofengineering experience in semiconductor capital equipment, with aproven track record of progressive leadership responsibilities. -Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processesand equipment, with expertise in one or more relevant areas (e.g.,deposition, etch, lithography, clean). - Demonstrated experienceleading complex, multi-disciplinary engineering teams in ahigh-paced, high-tech environment. - Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills, with a collaborative and customer-focusedapproach Preferred Qualifications Our Commitment We believe it isimportant for every person to feel valued, included, and empoweredto achieve their full potential.
