We have a dispatch project of at least 10 months.
We are seeking skilled Windows 11 Migration Technicians to assist with the migration of approximately 10K to 20K clients from Windows 10 to Windows 11 across multiple locations in Europe. This project involves both on-site migration at users' workstations and the setup of a deployment staging area.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Migration:
Coordinate with the customer IT team to contact and schedule each user for migration.
Perform the on-site migration using offline SCCM USB sticks provided by the customer.
Backup critical data on the existing device before replacing it with a new Windows 11 device.
Hand over the new device to the user and provide a brief induction to ensure familiarity with the system.
Ensure minimal disruption to the user’s workflow by performing efficient migrations.
Roll-outs will occur Monday through Thursday, with additional work on Fridays as needed.
Staging Area Deployment:
Procure and manage 8K to 10K new devices.
Set up on-site imaging and deployment at customer locations.
Image, configure, and prepare devices for deployment, with an estimated installation time of 2 hours for every 10 devices (SCCM).
Backup data from old devices before deployment and provide users with a brief introduction to the new system.
Resource and Staffing Requirements:
Technicians will handle the replacement and setup of 2 to 4 devices per day, with users available on-site.
Approximately 20 to 30 technicians are required to meet the daily migration target of +70 devices across all locations.
An additional 2 to 3 technicians will manage the imaging and deployment process at the staging area.
Project Timeline:
The migration will take place over 10 months, with a target of 1500 to 1800 devices per month.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in Windows 10/11 migration and workstation setups.
Proficiency with SCCM for imaging and deployment.
Strong communication skills for user interaction and technical support.
Ability to work efficiently under a structured migration schedule to meet daily targets.
Availability for travel between various project locations.
This role is ideal for technicians who are detail-oriented, can work well independently or in a team, and are capable of ensuring smooth, minimally disruptive migrations for end-users.
