Job Description
As we focus on our expansion in Queensland, we’re searching for an experienced Retail Manager to lead our operations across this key market. This role is pivotal to our growth strategy, requiring a hands-on leader with the expertise to ensure every Brisket’s location in Queensland upholds our standards of excellence.
In this role, you will oversee the daily management of our restaurants and drive team development through continuous coaching and training. This job will directly report to one of the Managing Directors in the company. You will be responsible for enhancing both the operational and financial performance of our restaurants, focusing on five key pillars:
1. People: Attracting and retaining top talent, embodying our values, and fostering the growth of our Culinary and Operations teams. This includes training, supervision, and ensuring high service standards.
2. Food and Guest Experience: Maintaining exceptional food safety, ensuring high food quality, and delivering an unparalleled guest experience.
3. Profitability: Overseeing the financial health of our Queensland restaurants, ensuring effective P&L management, setting prices, and driving profitability.
4. Marketing & Sales: Promoting and advertising Brisket’s goods and services, driving customer engagement, and determining product mix and stock levels to optimise sales performance.
5. Safety & Compliance: Ensuring full compliance with Brisket’s rigorous food safety and WHS standards while maintaining accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions.
This role is essential to laying the foundation for Brisket’s continued success as we expand our footprint in Queensland.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a candidate with a diverse skill set, but specifically:
* Proven experience in leading and managing teams to achieve key performance indicators, including promoting key personnel.
* A track record of delivering operational excellence and managing stores with high turnover.
* Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing operational needs and drive results.
* Strong experience in managing profitability, budgeting, and meeting KPIs.
* Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive customer engagement.
* A passion for authentic barbecue and an appreciation for bringing US cuisine to Australia is a plus.
