* You conduct innovative applied and basic research on interactive visual exploration of data in the context of healthcare, and emergency services as well as visualization literacy.
* You design, implement, and evaluate methods in information visualization along a user-centered-design process. You represent and advertise the programme externally and cultivate international contacts to businesses, other higher education institutions, and the scientific community.
* You write scientific publications, give presentations, conduct scientific outreach activities, and participate in proposal writing activities.
* You support the team with administrative and organisational tasks and work to a small extent in the teaching area (max. 6 SWS).
* You have strong ambition for a PhD, writing papers, and scientific discourse.
What we expect from you:
* University degree (Master level) in computer science (or comparable technical degree).
* Expertise in visual computing with a particular focus on information visualization and visual analytics.
* Expertise in working with visualization tools and creating dashboards, particularly with Tableau.
* Experience in developing web-based visualization tools in healthcare, such as social diagnostics.
* Practical experience in scientific writing, presentation, as well as proposal writing.
* Excellent command of English and willingness to learn/improve your German language skills (for non-natives).
* Curiosity, independent working style, and interest in questions from applying visual analytics in the healthcare domain.
* Experience in working in the context of emergency services is an advantage.
