About the Role:
Are you a servant leader passionate about agile values, principles, and practices? We are seeking a talented Scrum Master to empower our teams to self-organise, self-manage, and consistently deliver value. You’ll play a critical role in guiding teams to structure and manage their own work, while also enabling them to overcome challenges and build team cohesion. As an agile process expert, you’ll coach and support teams to adopt an agile mindset, uphold agreed-upon practices, and facilitate clear communication and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Educate and guide teams in agile values, principles, and techniques.
2. Facilitate essential agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
3. Develop and maintain a team social contract, fostering behaviors that support effective agile practices.
4. Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring task relevance and alignment with agile principles.
5. Identify, address, and remove impediments to keep the team focused and on track.
6. Shield the team from external disruptions, ensuring their capacity to meet sprint goals.
7. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and streamline delivery.
8. Support team onboarding, including smooth transitions and social contract introduction.
9. Encourage open dialogue, fostering a safe environment for raising issues and driving performance improvements.
10. Research and implement industry trends and tools to enhance agile methodologies and team practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar agile coaching role.
2. Proficiency with agile methodologies and tools, particularly Jira.
3. Strong understanding of agile values, principles, and frameworks.
4. Proven ability to facilitate effective agile ceremonies and team activities.
5. Experience in managing conflicts, improving team cohesion, and creating a positive team environment.
6. Excellent communication and change management skills.
