In this role you will be responsible to design the overall plant concept, by combining the core processes of electrolysis, carbon capture, and synthesis (e.g. for Methanol, Methanation) or electrolysis, air separation and ammonia synthesis, for our green hydrogen and renewable fuel solutions, and ensure integrity and as well as provide thorough analysis for optimization of the process units relating to CapEx and OpEx, in particular when intermittent power supply conditions occur.We are looking for a professional with wealthy experience in process engineering. We are enriched by our multicultural and multinational team and we continuously foster flat hierarchies and an open dialog culture.If you're enthusiastic about contributing to the profitable growth within this rapidly growing division, we can't wait to connect with you.In your role, you willPrepare mass- and energy balance calculations and related process flow diagrams (PFD)Develop innovative concepts for process modularization and standardization together with the technology development teamOptimize the integration with adjacent processes such as power supply, CO2 capture and e-fuel production and this under intermittent power profile (such as arbitrage, grid services, control reserve operation mode)Develop integrated process simulation models together with CO2 capture and green hydrogen and the synthesis processes, enabling analysis for CapEx and OpEx optimization along the full value chain, ensuring lowest levelized cost of product for the given taskWork closely with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, electrical and automation at the proposal and engineering phasePrepare media consumption figures for utilities (e.g.: electricity, water, chemicals, etc.) and collect defined required media qualities in close cooperation with process engineers.Collect and provide emission data for e.g.: effluent, heat, noise, gas, etc.Provide calculation and sizing of sub-systems (e.g. water purification) and components (e.g. hydrogen and oxygen purification, nitrogen supply units and compression)Provide overall mass and energy balance systemReview piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) over the full project lifecycleOptimize system solutions by reviewing static and dynamic mass- and energy balance resultsAlign and improve control strategies and maintenance philosophiesParticipate in HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA studiesPrepare and manage equipment and component listsTake the responsibility to coordinate with all relevant discipline and internal and external project stakeholdersClarify, discuss and present the technical solution towards the customerSupport the function description preparation.Be part of the commissioning, start-up, and optimization teamIn your personal skillset you haveMaster degree level qualification in a chemical process engineering, completed with proven numeric simulation competences.Minimum three years of experience in lead process engineering function in EPC projects for (petro-) chemical industry.Knowledge about process simulation programs.Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements is expected.Explain design solutions in an engaging mannerStrong communication, analytical and planning skillsSolution/team/customer oriented with the confidence to act pro-activelyFluent in English.
