To carry out guarding duties at guard sites in accordance with SNP Standing Orders and site instructions, in compliance with AS4421-1996 and all relevant State and/or Federal legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Security Officer Level 3 works above and beyond the skills of an employee at Levels 1 and 2, and to the level of their skills, competence and training.
* Works from complex instructions and procedures under limited supervision.
* Exercises good interpersonal and communications skills.
* Exercises computer skills at a level higher than Level 2.
* Assists in the provision of on-the-job training.
* Exercises discretion within the scope of this classification level; and performs work independently under limited supervision either individually or in a team environment.
Indicative of the tasks that an employee at this level may be required to perform are the following:
* Act as a line of defence to critical personnel.
* Undertake site perimeter patrols to ensure the integrity of the site perimeter.
* Control and restrict access to only authorised personnel, including identity checks against Powerlink access cards.
* Respond to security events including duress and alarms.
* Complete incident reports and escalate as per Powerlink SLA and escalate matrix.
* Respond to first aid incidents and provide immediate first aid to Powerlink critical workers.
* Perform a detailed handover briefing.
A Security Officer Level 3 may be required to perform duties of Security Officers at Levels 1 and 2 that are not designed to promote deskilling.
Qualification
Mandatory
* Current and applicable Security license Cert II (as per state regulation).
* Current First aid Certificate.
* Driver's license.
* CPR.
