This position is part of the Supplier Engineering and Technology team. SET is an organization that is innovative in manufacturing technology, materials and supply chain design.
Job Responsibilities
* Coordinate and support investigation of key quality defects of components from the customers and/or field service team to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
* Drive the improvement of the suppliers' quality and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery
* Act as liaison / technical lead for cross functional projects to include Build Verify and Production Readiness Review
* Audit and document supply base performance on critical process of records and overall quality management systems
* Collaborate on the continuous development of supply base through close teamwork with product management, global product group, and supplier business managers
* Leads, and is personally accountable for, high profile project timelines and milestones.
* Continuously working on process improvement and developing Best Known Methods
* Provide technical support in Build, Test and FQA to suppliers in product deployment and transition
* Perform Standardized Supplier Quality Audits and administer Supplier Quality Scorecard for existing suppliers to promote continuous improvement.
* Drive Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis on defects and Escalations
Requirements
* University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
* Experience in the one of the following areas:
o Mechatronics/Automation/Robotics/Computers/Controllers/PCBA/Sensors/Detectors
o Fluid dynamics/Heaters/Pumps/Filters/Flow and Pressure Control; solid understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mass/momentum/heat transfer
* Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
* Solid understanding of statistical process control and basic statistical analysis used in production setting
* Solid understanding of equipment and component manufacturing processes
* Experience in supplier process development & quality management
* Understanding of failure analysis and problem solving
* International & domestic travelling
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of Semiconductor equipment, Capital Equipment industry and its manufacturing processes.
* Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in English.
* Statistical analysis skills including statistical process control and data analysis used in production setting.
* Knowledge in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).
* Proven stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders or customers in technical matters.
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
