We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior AI and Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of AI-driven solutions and advanced data systems. This role requires a combination of specialist technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership to shape our AI and data capabilities, enabling innovation and business transformation.
YOUR CHALLENGE / TASKS
AI-Driven Innovation and Optimization:
* Lead the design and deployment of AI-driven solutions and apps to optimise workflows and ways of working, uncover insights, and solve complex challenges.
* Explore and implement cutting-edge AI technologies, such as predictive models and automation tools, to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
Data Architecture and Strategy:
* Develop and implement scalable, compliant, and secure data architectures to support digital platforms and advanced analytics.
* Design and maintain robust data models to enable seamless integration and real-time data processing across various platforms.
Data Governance and Compliance:
* Establish data governance frameworks that ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and industry-specific standards.
* Proactively address data security and privacy risks, implementing best practices for safeguarding critical information.
AI-Enabled Data Infrastructure:
* Build and optimize high-performance data pipelines for AI/ML workflows, advanced analytics, and real-time applications.
* Automate data workflows using orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect) and optimize systems for scalability and reliability.
Technical Leadership and Collaboration:
* Provide mentorship and technical expertise to teams, fostering best practices in AI, data architecture, and engineering.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and align data and AI strategies, and develop solutions and apps with our business objectives.
Performance Monitoring and Insights:
* Leverage AI techniques to monitor and optimize data systems, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
* Stay ahead of industry trends by researching emerging technologies and integrating them into the organization’s data strategies.
WHAT YOU BRING
* Minimum 7 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on large-scale data platforms.
* Extensive hands-on experience in researching and designing AI-based solutions to optimise ways of working and data utilisation.
* Proven experience in designing and managing (healthcare) data systems, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR).
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information AI Systems, or a related field.
* Expertise in data modeling, database design, ETL processes, and cloud-based data solutions.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java and expertise in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
* Advanced knowledge of big data platforms and cloud-based AI services.
* Experience with BI tools, such as Power BI or similar platforms.
* Familiarity with MLOps, containerization and orchestration tools.
* Experience working on cross-disciplinary projects.
* Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
* Working proficiency in English. German language skills are an advantage.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Due to legal requirements in Austria, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Our salary range for this position starts at 65.000 €. Based on your experience and qualifications, our final offer will be a competitive market value-based salary.
