Finance Manager Austria & Slovakia (m/w/d) for a global logistics company - Remote possible

Our client is a global logistics company headquartered in Seattle, Washington with more than 19,000 employees and a global network of more than 350 locations on 6 continents. The Austrian branch, with around 50 employees is located near Schwechat and is looking for a Finance Manager Austria & Slovakia.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* In this position you will be in charge of the preparation and review of departmental P&Ls, quarterly & annual financial statements, and annual budgets.
* You will liaise with external advisors on the preparation of statutory financial information and tax computations.
* Furthermore, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Credit, GL, Capital Expenditure, Payroll, VAT, Treasury, Revenue Recognition, and Cost Accounting.
* In addition, you will prepare timely internal monthly accounts (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflows, and Analysis) for review by the regional and global accounting teams.
* You will also conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities and drive initiatives to promote efficient and cost-effective operations.
* On top, you will provide financial and accounting expertise and support for the regional business operations management teams (budgets etc.).
* Proactively communicate with your team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
* The management of a small accounting team is also part of your responsibility.
YOUR PROFILE
* You offer a relevant bachelor's or master's degree.
* 5+ years of Accounting and Finance experience in Austria and Slovakia.
* Good command of Slovak, English, and German at a minimum B2 level.
* High level of Austrian and Slovakian tax and regulatory knowledge.
* Experience in compliance and internal controls.
* UGB and preferably US GAAP experience.
* Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables.
