Ref 145/25 Project Coordinator - IT Data Remediation Taskforce, Office of
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to support the IT Data Remediation Taskforce. This position will provide effective project coordination of key streams of work in relation to Cybersecurity and data remediation. This will require significant engagement with end users and business representatives.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 1 year and will be based at Western’s Hawkesbury (Richmond) Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Flexible arrangements are available to work at other campuses within the Western network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and lead the implementation of transition and communications plans for the project.
* Gather, validate and document requirements, identify risks and benefits of solutions, and support business transition efforts.
* Oversee project execution, ensuring monitoring and control of activities in line with established methodologies.
* Ensure sub-projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
* Communicate regular project status updates to stakeholders, committees, and working groups.
* Execute project risk management and recommend and implement solutions.
* Support program governance, vendor management, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislative requirements.
Who we’re looking for:
* A degree-level qualification and/or extensive relevant experience in project management and change management.
* Proven expertise in managing project costs, vendor commercial management, and detailed scheduling.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce executive-level reports and correspondence.
* Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, high-level negotiation, and influencing various operational and management levels.
* In-depth knowledge of NSW and Australian legislative requirements for personal data management, along with analytical and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
