Senior Manager, Financial Crime Compliance & Governance
The Opportunity
Join a highly regarded organisation in the Entertainment & Hospitality industry, operating across Australia & New Zealand. This role plays a critical part in strengthening Financial Crime Risk, Compliance & Governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, and mitigating financial crime risks related to gambling activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Crime Policy & Compliance Oversight: Review, update, and enhance Financial Crime Risk & Compliance policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes and internal program updates.
* Governance & Reporting: Develop high-quality governance reports to support informed decision-making, risk management and documentation.
* Risk Identification & Mitigation: Identify, assess, and manage financial crime related risks, ensuring alignment with broader Risk & Compliance Frameworks.
* Regulatory Engagement: Collaborate with regulatory bodies, auditors, and industry stakeholders as required to ensure compliance with financial crime regulations.
* Board & Executive Support: Provide governance support, including secretarial duties at internal meetings, ensuring documentation and filings are complete, accurate and up-to-date.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Board of Directors, risk & compliance teams, and business leaders to embed best financial crime mitigation practices across the organisation.
* Team Management: Manage and coach a small team of managers and analysts.
About You
* 8+ years of experience in Financial Crime Risk & Compliance Governance roles in highly regulated industries.
* Proven ability to prepare and present reports to the Board, senior executives, committees and regulatory authorities.
* Strong governance mindset, with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
* Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
* People leadership experience.
Desirable (but not Essential) Skills
* Financial crime intelligence knowledge and experience in responsible gambling within the gaming, gambling or wagering sector.
