Description:
This role requires a mixture of team leadership, hands-on software engineering, and software architecture skills. You’ll lead a group of engineers developing full-stack solutions in multiple technologies, including backend, web and mobile apps, across multiple countries. You’ll work in an international, distributed setup spanning multiple time-zones, coordinating work and ensuring the timeline delivery of features, guide the team technically to use best practices and write efficient, scalable software.
Responsibilities:
Collaboration with interdisciplinary and international teams to develop requirements and implement innovative solutions.
Governance function for the development team(s).
Ensuring code quality through code reviews and test automation.
Optimization of existing systems and applications for performance and scalability.
Support the technical development and maintenance of several products, including client and server applications using C# (WinForms, WCF), SpringBoot (J2EE), and ColdFusion w/ the ColdBox framework.
Design, implementation, and management of relational (MySQL/Aurora RDS) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases.
Knowledge of AWS cloud services for application deployment and management (i.e ECS, ECR, S3, CodePipeline & CodeBuild).
Requirements:
Completed studies in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Several years of professional experience in software development and in-depth knowledge in one of the core backend stacks: C# or Java. Polyglot preferred.
Experience leading other developers and upscaling them in best practices
Curious learner, with the ability to navigate and learn multiple stacks and technologies, and push for quality and standard best engineering practices across them.
Experience designing software running on the cloud, including performance, security, and networking.
Project-management / scrum skills a plus.
Knowledge in the use of a major cloud services (ideally AWS) for running containerized services.
Good analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
Reflective personality with team spirit and strong communication skills.
Proactive, structured, and results-oriented working style.
Good English skills, both written and spoken. German is a plus.
