About The Role
This full-time hybrid or remote Nurse Education Officer role sits within APNA's Nurse Engagement and Professional Development department, working to produce world-class nursing educational content delivered virtually and face-to-face. They ensure education is kept up to date, contains best practice teaching and is promoted to ensure high utilisation by primary health care nurses. The Nurse Education Officer helps ensure our education sessions are evidence-based and best practice for contemporary primary health care nurses.
Responsibilities Include
* Course and workshop development and delivery
* Producing high quality new and revised learning content
* Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to guide content production and review
* Marketing and promoting education
* Responding to member and non-member education enquiries
* Management of shared mailbox
* Engagement with B2B, B2C, and B2G, relationship building and sales
* Provide comprehensive administrative support for the delivery of courses and workshops
* Utilisation of own nursing skills and knowledge to contribute to content planning and development, and delivery of education and resources relevant to nurses working in primary health care in a variety of delivery modalities
* Engaging with existing and prospective industry stakeholders, government departments and regulators around key issues and facilitate involvement or inclusion of content in APNA education programs.
You Must Have
* At least 2–3 years demonstrated experience in providing education to primary health care nurses
* A relevant undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in nursing
* Current or willingness to obtain Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122)
* Experience in education course or resource creation and development
* Proven content development, presentation, consultation and facilitation skills with the ability to work independently when required
* Deep contextual understanding of the work and issues in a primary health care setting
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong technical skillset
* Strong digital know-how and an eye for accuracy
* An ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and maintain a strong customer service focus
* A hands-on attitude and willingness to support the team with other tasks, as required
* Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
