Offer Description

Job profile:
* Independent research activities and acquisition of third-party funded projects in the field of communications engineering with a focus on high-frequency technology and antenna design
* Independent conceptualisation and implementation of courses and holding of examinations
* Supervision of students, including supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses and co-supervision of dissertations (independent supervision after habilitation)
* Organisation of and participation in scientific and transfer-oriented events
* Participation in organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures
Your profile:
* Completed relevant doctoral or PhD studies with a focus on electrical engineering or comparable
* Several months of relevant professional experience after the dissertation/PhD (at least 24 months)
* Relevant scientific achievements beyond the dissertation/PhD (publications in SCOPUS/WOS-listed publication organs, contributions to international scientific conferences)
* Successful acquisition of third-party funding
* Excellent knowledge and experience in more than one of the following research fields: (i) development of novel antenna systems including design, metrological characterisation and optimisation; (ii) radio-based sensor technology for applications in, for example, Internet-of-Things, mechatronics, civil and environmental engineering, biomedical engineering or quantum computing; (iii) radio frequency circuit design
* Experience in university teaching in the research topic and in the development and application of innovative/digital teaching methods
* Experience in the supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses and in the co-supervision of dissertations
* Proven professional experience of international cooperation
* Work-related mobility experience during or after the doctorate/PhD or willingness to be mobile during the QV period
* Presentation of a research concept at habilitation level
* Submission of a teaching concept
* Knowledge of German (at least B2 level or willingness to acquire this within a reasonable period of time), very good knowledge of English
* Contributions to the organisation of public events
* Creative problem-solving skills for both scientific and application-related tasks
* Social competence, teamwork and communication skills
* Sense of responsibility and the ability to motivate students
