Junior Compliance Officer - Capital Markets Compliance (f/m/x) – 2 years fixed term
Join our Capital Markets Compliance team, part of the Group Compliance division, and play a key role in managing investor protection and market conduct rules (MiFID2, WAG 2018), as well as preventing and detecting market abuse (MAR, BörseG 2018). Your role at RBI
1. Analyze regulatory requirements on investor protection and market conduct and develop comprehensive implementation approaches with an end-to-end view to ensure regulatory compliance.
2. Provide practical guidance to business units on applicable RBI policies and regulatory requirements on investor protection and market conduct.
3. Monitor compliance with investor protection and market conduct rules, including best execution, product governance, conflicts of interest, and inducements.
4. Perform market abuse prevention controls in RBI Compliance systems (e.g. market abuse alert handling) and ensure unusual or suspicious transactions are properly identified, documented, and reported.
5. Support the development and delivery of compliance training programs.
6. Design, develop and review compliance processes in line with evolving market standards, integrating them into Compliance IT systems using the latest technologies such as machine learning and RPA.
Your core competencies
1. University degree in law, economics, or a comparable subject, or professional experience in the financial industry.
2. Prior experience in compliance, consultancy or with a financial market regulator is highly valued.
3. Strong interest in financial markets and a good understanding of financial instruments.
4. Innovative and curious, with a talent for designing processes that enhance automation and optimization.
5. Collaborative, flexible, and resilient team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent English skills; knowledge of German and CEE/SEE languages is an advantage.
