INTEC Energy is a leader in renewable energy solutions, specialising in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of solar power projects. We’re looking for a skilled Senior Contracts and Risk Manager to join our Brisbane team, overseeing a key BESS project in Queensland and managing EPC contract administration on-site, with exciting future opportunities as INTEC expands its renewable energy portfolio across Australia.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Collaborate with stakeholders (Legal, Procurement, Design, HSEQ) to draft, negotiate, and finalise contract terms that align with organisational interests and risk tolerance.
2. Manage and action all contractual obligations under the head contract, ensuring compliance and timely execution.
3. Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, taking ownership of the project risk register throughout all stages of the project.
4. Draft and oversee all project-related contractual correspondence, ensuring it is uploaded to INTEC’s cloud-based document control system.
5. Manage and resolve disputes and claims under head and trade contracts, collaborating with legal teams to ensure timely resolution.
6. Evaluate contract performance against KPIs, track milestones, and provide regular reports on contract status, performance, and compliance.
Qualifications and experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (Master’s degree and/or additional legal qualifications are advantageous).
2. 15+ years of experience in commercial or contract management, particularly in large infrastructure or energy projects (preference for renewable energy sector experience).
3. Proven experience working in an EPC environment.
4. Experience in preparing and developing contractual claims for time and cost, from initiation through to negotiation and resolution.
5. In-depth understanding of contract law, Australian industry regulations, and compliance requirements, with expertise in cloud-based document control software and strong negotiation and communication skills.
