SCM Sourcing Officer (f/m/d), Drug Substance Kundl, Tyrol, Austria - Temporary position for 2 yearsAs a subject matter expert with experience in procurement and supply chain, you will add value to our site leadership team by supporting and coordinating all major site procurement activities with a focus on the onboarding of vendors. During the course of your engagement with us, you will apply your skills in negotiations when negotiating costs with external vendors with the aim of achieving the best vendor agreement possible with respect to costs. By working closely alongside site leadership, you will also apply your skills in persuasion by defending your business proposals whenever these are challenged. Come and join Novartis Austria, and gain experience of working with some of our most experienced leaders who are leading our efforts to reimagine medicines for patients!About the RoleMain Accountabilities:Oversee and manage indirect / direct spend with focus on disruptive vendors / acting as SPOC to Novartis procurement organization.Identifying cost-saving opportunities below procurement threshold for indirect spend including CAPEX together with business owner (based on optimized demand, new vendor base) for the campus Kundl / Schaftenau.Support of campus initiative “indirect spend excellence” to achieve establishment of a new vendor base for indirect spend.On site coordination to achieve best price offering for process orders (POs) together with site head and site finance head in line with the budget.Project management of vendor changes / onboarding.What you’ll bring to the role:University degree in economics or similar, ideally experience in biopharmaceutical operations or procurement.Languages: fluency in both German and English.Experience: Ideally 5 years of professional experience in a comparable role.Resilience by collaborating closely with senior site leadership.Ability to work independently and proactively.Why Novartis?Our purpose is to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people’s lives and our vision is to become the most valued and trusted medicines company in the world.
