We invite you to become a Senior Financial Controller of the EMEA Financial Control & Accounting (FC&A) team. Our FC&A EMEA team of around 140 professionals is embarking on an exciting journey to separate the Animal Nutrition & Health business, as announced by the Company in February 2024: dsm-firmenich to separate out Animal Nutrition & Health business from the Group.
As part of this transformative phase, we are expanding our team to ensure we continue to deliver exceptional financial control & accounting activities for the region. We are seeking several dedicated and skilled experienced Financial Controllers to join our team of financial controllers during a time of change.
As an experienced Financial Controller joining in this dynamic and changing environment, you will play a critical role in managing the financial activities of the Austrian legal entity impacted by the separation. You will work closely with the existing team in place, to ensure our team deliver and execute the finance planning, actuals, closing and reporting activities of all existing and/or newly created legal entities. Additionally, you will support the transfer of assets and liabilities to newly created legal entities, ensuring a smooth and compliant transition – all while building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Your key responsibilities
* Provide support during the legal entity separation process
* Provide timely, complete, accurate and reliable financial reporting for the entities under your responsibility
* Ensure regulatory compliance
* Be the point of contact for finance business partners and internal and external auditors.
* Direct contact to budget holders to support budgeting and forecasting process
* Ensure that agreed services with Financial Shared Services are delivered up to standard
* Support Management Reporting, monthly reporting deck forecast/actuals
* Responsible for (and analyses on) balance sheet and P&L reviews and first line analyses and insights for actuals, forecast and budget and for setting up relevant allocation cycles in SAP
* Provide all judgement-based content (e.g. accruals, provisions, corrections) to the shared service center
* Provide evidence for the Internal Control Framework.

You bring
* Master’s degree in accounting/financial controlling.
* Qualification as a Chartered Accountant preferred;
* SAP knowledge strongly recommended;
* Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes;
* At least 8 years of work experience in Accounting/Controlling/Audit in international organisations;
* IFRS and local GAAP knowledge and experience with statutory audits;
* A team-player with a critical and continuous improvement mindset and who drives the change within the organization;
* A self-starter with excellent inter-personal skills and strong ability of stakeholder management;
* Experience with a carve-out is a strong plus;
* Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
* Resilient and open-minded;
* Experience working with a Shared Service environment is a plus;
* Fluent in English and German.
