Early Stage Researcher - PhD Student (m/f/d) Project DescriptionThe advertised position is part of a project funded by the FWF and will focus on the effect of 2D vs. physiological 3D culture conditions of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) on the physicochemical characteristics, the cargo, as well as on the functional characteristics of MSC-derived extracellular vesicles.Your Tasks:Conducting physicochemical and functional characterization of MSC-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs)Contribution to methodological development in EV researchAnalysis of research data and publication of the resultsTutoring of Bachelor and Master studentsRepresentation of the research group at conferences and workshops with scientific presentationsSupporting the research group in administrative tasksParticipating in the PhD program “Regenerative Medicine” at the University for Continuing Education KremsCompleting and submitting a PhD thesis in the PhD program “Regenerative Medicine” within three years Your profile We require evidence of the following qualifications for the application:Completion of a diploma or master's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related subject (criterion must be met prior to the conclusion of the working contract)Profound experience in lab work in the field of BiomedicineExperience in analyzing and processing research dataAbility to work in a research team and to communicate research resultsProficiency in scientific writing, demonstrated by scientific publications, presentations or a master’s thesisExcellent English skills (C1)In addition, the following criteria are desirable:Proficiency in cell culture techniques, preferably with stem cells and monocytesExperience in EV isolation and characterizationExperience in flow cytometryProficiency in scientific writing, demonstrated by scientific publicationsGood knowledge of German (min.
