With your detailed knowledge of complex and safety critical systems and your technical expertise in challenging projects, you are the right person for this position. Join us now at Hitachi Rail in Austria!Your CHALLENGE:Lead as Software and System Architect along the project life cycle for safety critical railway systems.Act as a technical expert to define the system architecture according to customer requirements.Establish the solution architecture through trade-offs between stakeholders' expectations, technical & technological solutions and cost, risks, and schedule in close cooperation with project management.Define and propose the solution architecture in compliance with functional and non-functional (safety, reliability, security, etc.) requirements.Work in an international agile team and in cooperation with other business line units.Your PROFILE:Technical education (FH, University), preferably in Computer Science, Informatics, or similar.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in full lifecycle software development and system architecture.Experience in industrial context (safety critical, transportation).Experience in distributed systems, real-time systems, and fault-tolerant systems.Experience in private and/or public cloud environments (Openstack) and container technologies.Certifications on SW/System architecture are beneficial.Experience with working in an international context (multi-unit/multi-site) is beneficial.Experience in agile methodology is beneficial.Innovative, adaptable, and customer-oriented team player.Fluency in German and English is a must-have.We OFFER:The salary for this position starts at € 73.000 gross p.a.
