The Senior Cloud Engineer’s role is to design, install, administer, and optimize our cloud infrastructure and related components to achieve and maintain high performance of business applications. This includes ensuring the availability of our cloud environment, configuring new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the cloud environment. This position shares responsibility for the security, integrity, and safety of the cloud environment.
Your tasks
* Develop and implement scalable and secure cloud architecture solutions
* Deploy, manage, and maintain cloud-based applications and infrastructure
* Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud systems to ensure high availability and reliability
* Design and implement disaster recovery plans and backup strategies for cloud-based systems
* Develop and maintain automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations
* Work closely with IT, development and operations teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems
* Provide training and support to internal teams on cloud technologies and best practices
* Assist in managing cloud costs and optimizing resource usage
* Participate in regular reviews of existing systems and recommend improvements
* Collaborate with the documentation team to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes
Your profile
* Completed education in the field of information technology
* At least 5 years of experience in the implementation and administration of cloud infrastructure and related resources
* Strong experience with public cloud management
* Strong experience with operating production cloud environments across multiple public cloud providers
* Strong knowledge of systems monitoring, alerting and analytics using AppDynamics, ELK, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, or similar
* Proven scripting experience using shell (PowerShell and/or bash), Python, ARM, Bicep, or others
* Proven experience with IaC using Terraform and/or Ansible Tower
* Proven experience managing IaC code repositories such as Azure DevOps or Gitlab
* Experience with hybrid cloud technologies such as Azure AD
* Keen awareness of security topics relating to cloud infrastructure
* Knowledgeable on other IT related topics such as load balancers, firewalls, networking, storage, and other operating systems (e.g. Linux)
