ANDRITZ is seeking a dynamic Principal System Engineer (m/f/d) to support us with our P2X projects. In this role you will be responsible for defining, specifying, and clarifying sub-supplied systems and static/rotating equipment for our green hydrogen and renewable fuel solutions.
We are looking for a professional with extensive experience in process, mechanical, or electrical engineering. Your deep understanding of sourcing and managing packages will play a crucial role in the success of our projects. This exciting opportunity is based in Vienna.

In your role, you will
* Improve and create business processes and project execution standards for the sourcing of equipment, systems, and packages.
* Manage and define related template and standard specifications.
* Organize the seamless integration into the used engineering tools.
* Develop supplier relationships and define equipment standards for our solutions.
* Select new suppliers with procurement and support the onboarding process.
* Support the team with inquiry specifications and approve specifications.
* Support the sales team by clarifying questions and preparing related sales documents.
* Prepare inquiry specifications and lead the technical clarifications with key suppliers.
* Work closely with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, electrical, and automation at the proposal and engineering phase.
* Clarify technical solutions, collect all required data, and review all deliverables.
* Optimize system solutions according to our requirements with the suppliers.
* Prepare and manage equipment and component lists.
* Coordinate with all stakeholders.
* Clarify, discuss, and present the technical solution to the customer.
* Be part of the FAT, commissioning, start-up, and optimization team.
In your personal skillset, you have
* A degree-level qualification in process, chemical, automation, or mechanical engineering is a plus.
* Minimum ten years of experience as a system engineer; experience within the energy or petrochemical industry is a plus.
* Practical experience in plant commissioning is a must.
* Ability to consult with customers and suppliers about technical design requirements is expected.
* Ability to explain design solutions engagingly.
* Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills.
* Solution/team/customer-oriented with the confidence to act proactively.
* Fluent in English; another European language is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel for an average of 3 days per month.

In Austria, we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of €4,389.04 for this position. Depending on qualifications and professional experience, we offer you a market-based salary.
